Alysha Kloeckner, CPDT - KA

Alysha is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and professional member of Force Free Trainers of Wisconsin.

Prior to opening A Dog’s Tale LLC in 2020, a passion for teaching both humans and dogs grew over many years. Alysha began volunteering in shelters and rescue organizations at a young age. Every Saturday, Alysha and her grandfather would volunteer at a local animal shelter. Alysha cherishes this time with her grandfather and attributes this experience to creating a passion that would lead the trajectory of her life both personally and professionally. For the past ten years Alysha has collaborated with shelters and rescue organizations by fostering dogs in need of training and/or behavior support prior to being eligible for adoption.

Alysha graduated from Moraine Park Technical College in 2014 with an associate’s degree in Business Management and graduated from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Human Services and Leadership. Prior to opening A Dog’s Tale LLC, Alysha worked in education and case management roles. This professional experience shaped her ability to work with not only dogs but their guardians too. Alysha has extensive training in motivational interviewing, conflict resolution, and trauma informed care which contributes to her compassionate approach while working with clients.

There is a special dog who has influenced Alysha’s journey, her dog Diesel who is the inspiration for A Dog’s Tale LLC. Alysha adopted Diesel in 2011 and after having him home for a short time it became evident that he had some significant behavior needs. She knows that sharing life with a dog that is struggling can be emotionally taxing but you don’t have to navigate that alone. There is help! Alysha shares her life with her dog Grits, and two cats Boots and Kitty.
